Explore the heart of Europe’s most iconic cities—Paris, Venice, Florence, and Rome—on a transformative study abroad experience from May 18 to May 30, 2024. Led by faculty from the Department of Visual Arts and Design, this program will immerse students in the world of fashion, interior architecture, and design. Students must be enrolled in at least one of the following June 2025 courses: FASH 497 Study Abroad, IAD 370 History of Interior Architecture and Design I, IAD 375 History of Interior Architecture and Design II.

The Department of Foreign Languages and the Department of Visual Arts & Design are collaborating on an Education Abroad program that spends two and a half weeks in Paris, France and Florence, Italy. Students stay in the city center and will be immersed in the architecture, art, food, and culture of Paris and Florence. Visiting historic sites such as the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, the Louvre, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Duomo will give students the experience of navigating and living in an international city. Students travel with experienced faculty and will have the opportunity to take excursions and explore other parts of France and Italy on free days. This program is open to all UNA students, but priority will be given to foreign language and art students.

Join Dr. Klein, Dr. Carrasco, and your colleagues on a 15-day study abroad experience. You have the opportunity to take 6 credit hours in psychology electives while participating in an experiential learning experience as we travel to Germany and France.

The Department of Communication is hosting a study abroad opportunity to Montreal, Canada, during the June 2025 Summer Session I semester. There are two course options instructed by COM faculty/trip leaders Ms. Tosha-Paige Whitten and Ms. Betsy Heckert; Dr. Butler Cain may also be joining. Students will gain credits in COM 205 Communication in a Global Age or COM 498 International Perspectives on Media & Communication. Both of these are valuable for global and experiential learning goals.

The Departments of Engineering and Industrial Professions and Foreign Languages are teaming up to offer an exciting opportunity to study abroad in Daejeon, South Korea, one of the country's largest and most dynamic metropolitan cities. This 4-week program will take you to the heart of South Korea’s science and industry hub, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and rich artistic heritage.

This program includes:

• Cultural Immersion: Dive into Korean traditions, from its vibrant arts to its fascinating history, and connect with local college students and high school students. Also, students will get a chance to homestay with local Korean families.
• Industry Insights: Visit leading South Korean companies, sports complexes, and government research centers.
• Staying at Chungnam National University: Learning the Korean language at one of the top regional universities, connecting with Korean students and peers from around the world, while building your international network.
• Cultural Excursions: Beyond Daejeon, you'll explore iconic cities like Seoul, Busan, Jeonju, and Nonsan.

The UNA Department of History invites students to join Drs. George Makowski and Carolyn Barske Crawford for an adventure in the Scottish Highlands and Edinburgh. While in the Highlands, we work with 杏吧直播间 Environment Scotland, the national preservation agency, to document historic sites and landscapes. As a result of this fieldwork, students produce maps that are placed in Canmore, Scotland’s National Record of the 杏吧直播间 Environment. Students also have the opportunity to kayak, canoe, hike, bike, and attend Highland games while we stay at the University of Edinburgh’s Outdoor Center in the Highlands. In Edinburgh, students conduct archival research in the National Records of Scotland, the National Library’s map room, and the 杏吧直播间 Environment Scotland reading room. Students explore how Scottish museums, including the Museum of Rural Life and the National Museum of Scotland, interpret the experience of the Scottish people. They also have the opportunity to explore the cultural and historic sites of this major European city. Join the Department of Foreign Languages and spend a month in beautiful Salamanca, Spain. Visit museums, castles, and historic sites as you immerse yourself in the language and culture. Live with a Spanish family for a truly unique experience. Excursions include Avila, Segovia, Madrid, and Toledo. All levels of Spanish ability are welcome to apply to the program, and you don’t have to be a major or minor in Spanish to participate! Students must be enrolled in two of the following July 2025 courses: FL 201, SP 202, SP 320, FL 490, SP 490, and SP 492. This trip will be hosted by the Sanders COBT. It will have a business focus. In addition to various cultural activities, students will learn about Australian Labor Policies, Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Industry, and Politics.

This trip will be hosted by the Sanders COBT Management Department. The trip will have a management focus. Students will explore the rich culture, history, and vibrant landscapes of Milan, Tuscany, Rome, Florence, and more. This journey will take students through Italy’s diverse regions, from the fast-paced and bustling north to the slower, more laid-back rhythms of the south.

Visit Athens, Santorini, and with some other day trips with the Accounting Department in May! Our study abroad trips are always accounting focused, and priority is given to accounting students.  It can count is an upper-level accounting elective (or as a substitute for MG 491). The trip leaders are Corey Cagle (ccagle1@una.edu) and Mandy Barksdale (abarksdale@una.edu)

This trip is hosted by the Sanders COBT. This trip will focus on business issues including management and marketing in an international context, as well as intercultural business communication. We intend to visit companies in Toledo and Barcelona, in addition to museums and cultural sites.
