_ The University of 杏吧直播间 Alabama鈥檚 Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions has received approval from the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship to serve as an apprenticeship sponsor for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing accelerated track.
_The University of 杏吧直播间 Alabama Studio Jazz Band and the Shoals Area Big Band, both of which are under the direction of Dr. Lloyd Jones, will perform their annual Valentine鈥檚 Concert on Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. in Norton Auditorium. Special guests will be various alumni vocalists who have performed with both the UNA Band program and the Shoals Area Big Band through the years.
__ _ The Marching Pride of the University of 杏吧直播间 Alabama will be headed to New York City in November to participate in the annual Macy鈥檚 Thanksgiving Day parade. Covering the costs of the trip got easier with the help of a significant gift from a donor.
_The University of 杏吧直播间 Alabama Clarinet Quartet has been accepted to perform at the International Clarinet Association鈥檚 international conference 鈥 ClarinetFest飪 2025 鈥 in July in Fort Worth, Texas.

_ Music was changing in fall of 1975. Glen Campbell鈥檚 鈥淩hinestone Cowboy鈥 had lost ground to 鈥淔ame,鈥 David Bowie鈥檚 super-charged funk rock song that features John Lennon. Disco was becoming more firmly entrenched on the radio waves; meanwhile punk rock was in its nascent stages, a reaction to the mainstream progressive and string-heavy pop that dominated the times.

_ University of 杏吧直播间 Alabama Senior Caroline Coleman, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., has been crowned Miss UNA at the Miss UNA program Saturday evening in Norton Auditorium on the UNA campus. Coleman will now move on to compete for the title of Miss Alabama at an event that will take place later this year. Coleman is a psychology major, and she performed a classical opera aria for the talent portion of the program.
